BMI Put Out First Graduates
BMI GRADUATE 21 IT DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIANS
( Monrovia, Liberia JUNE 25, 2022)
As part of the vision and mission of the CEO of Beyond Measure International, Mrs. Francine Carter Pewee of transforming lives beyond limit, BMI launched a recruitment drive in early March 2022. This recruitment process provided an opportunity for young Liberians high school students who met the eligibility requirement to enroll in the 12 months Desktop Support Technician and career training program.
In the accomplishment of this, BMI conducted a graduation at it center on GSA Road Paynesville on June 25, 2022 for 21 Desktop Support Technicians who completed 12 months of training in various IT courses. The graduating class comprises 15 students with Diploma and 6 students with certificates.
It is important to note that the recruitment process covered high schools in Paynesville and it environs to be specific, Magual Catholic School, Calvert Mission High School, Rehab Public School, Drim High School, SDA High School LY Junction to mention a few.
A total of 135 students were recruited from 8 High Schools in Paynesville.
The recruitment process was made up of three vigorous stages; Stage One: Candidate Application ( this comprise of application submission, screening of academic documents, and reasoning test). Successful applicants from this stage were moved to stage Two ( where an in-person-interview, background check for scholarship possibility were done). At the final stage, ( successful candidates from stage 2 were called for orientation and award of scholarships). Successful applicants commence classes on June 08, 2021.
The graduation ceremony marks the completion of over 12 months of intensive IT and Career training conducted at BMI center in Paynesville city.
Courses covered during this period included: Introduction to computer, Computerize typing, Window OS & Computer Hardware, MS office Suite, Graphic Design, Web design, Computer Network, Overview of Social Media. During the career training, students were trained in interview techniques, resume writing, Online Scholarship and Job Search techniques.
The graduation was climax with a graduation ball in honor of the graduating class at BMI training center on GSA Road Paynesville City.
